Overview
The beautiful Hamakua coast offers many things, but utility power is not always one of them. Mr. Hoffman built his dream home near historic Honokaa town, and it needed a complete off-grid energy system to power it. Familiar with the location’s frequent bouts of rain, RES designed a turn-key solar power system with an integrated propane standby generator. On rainy days when there is not enough sun to keep the batteries full, the generator automatically kicks on to supplement the solar power. As a result, Mr. Hoffman never has to worry about running out of power, even on rainy days.
